The
Communication Workers’ Union says it is considering calling for strikes over
possible plans by BT Group to transfer work to India.
The
CWU claims that BT plans to transfer about 700 call centre positions to India.
It
has sent a letter to 3,500 workers saying industrial action could be used. A
decision on whether to recommend industrial action would be made in the next
couple of weeks, the union said.

has confirmed it is looking at options in India, but has not made a final
decision.
