Around
550 jobs are to be cut at a Welsh base where military aircraft are repaired and
maintained.
The
jobs will be lost at St Athan in the Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales from a
total workforce of around 2,000.
The
base is run by the Defence Aviation Repair Agency (Dara), which has been the
subject of an operational review for the past few months.

are facing the prospect of the death of Dara by a thousand cuts."
