Diageo to cut 900 jobs

Drinks firm Diageo is to close its Port Dundas distillery in Glasgow and a packaging plant in Kilmarnock, leaving 900 staff out of a job.

The company, which has its headquarters in Edinburgh, said last month that markets around the world had weakened, the BBC reported.
