Discount retailer to create 2,000 jobs with UK expansion

A
Merseyside retailer has announced plans to create more than 2,000 jobs and open
200 new stores across the UK.

The
increases are part of a five year expansion programme being implemented by
discount retailer Ethel Austin.

The
expansion will mean the creation of several hundred jobs at its Prescot head
office.

Four
hundred people are already employed at its HQ, and it is thought 800 of the new
jobs will be based there. They are expected to be a mixture of full and
part-time positions.
