Giving blood in the workplace is one of the most popular ways of donating
according to a survey by the National Blood Service.
Top blood donors are to be found in national government, followed by the
police, army and prison service. Employees of advertising, sales and marketing
companies and retail groups are those least likely to give blood.

The service is teaming up with the TUC to campaign for more blood donors.
Fifteen per cent of people who do not currently give blood said they would be
encouraged to do so if sessions were arranged at their place of work.
