Sixty-five
per cent of UK workers drive to work, according to a new survey.
The
survey, commissioned by Regus, shows that driving is the most popular way of
getting to work, followed by walking (15 per cent), bus (9 per cent), train (3
per cent), and cycling (3 per cent).
Just
1 per cent of the 1,000 people surveyed works from home.
The
survey also finds:

Men are more likely to drive than women (71 per cent compared to 58 per cent)

Young people are twice as likely to commute by bus, bike or walking than the
middle-aged
–
Greater London had the lowest percentage of car users for work (47 per cent).
East Anglia had the highest (78 per cent)
