A partnership deal between Thames
Water and trade unions has received a £50,000 award from the DTI.
The company received the maximum sum
allowed from the Government’s Partnership Fund and was one of only 41 to be
given an award from 160 applicants. The funding ensures that many partnerships
agreed in August with Unison, the GMB, the AEEU and the TGWU will receive
support.
The partnership aims to introduce
new forums to enhance employee involvement, training and development
initiatives and work-life balance schemes for part time working.
