Small
and medium-sized businesses unsure about their insurance obligations are now
able to get information and advice on employers’ liability insurance on a new
government website.
The
Business Link website features a definition of employers’ liability compulsory
insurance (ELCI), and a checklist to ensure businesses get the right cover to
match their needs.
The
Department for Work and Pensions published its review into ELCI at the end of
last year, and made a commitment to help small and medium-sized businesses
access simple, easy to understand information on the subject.
Minister
for Work, Jane Kennedy, said: "The Business Link site is easy to use and
the employers’ liability section gives advice in a helpful format. This will
give us a chance to ensure businesses are kept in touch with the latest
developments."
