Department for Work and Pensions Award for Age Positive at Work Award
By 2006 legislation will be in place outlawing age discrimination at work, but many companies have recognised the business case for good age-positive policies and are already reaping the benefits. If your organisation is one of these, then you should waste no time in entering the Age Positive at Work Award for 2002 and get the recognition you deserve. The award will be presented to an organisation that can demonstrate or is committed to achieving Age Positive practices in the workplace. The judges will be looking for examples of best practice in the various stages of the employment process from recruitment and selection, training and development, through to promotion. Applicants are encouraged to submit case material, examples of company literature or details of age-friendly initiatives focusing on one or more of the above employment strategies.
