The Employers’ Organisation for local government is calling for senior managers in local government and the wider public sector to act as external mentors for new trainees on the National Graduate Development Programme (NGDP).
The programme was launched in 2002 to provide local authorities with high quality graduates with the potential to become senior managers in local government.
The Employers’ Organisation has set up the external mentoring programme for all NGDP national management trainees, present and future to help them build confidence, offer guidance, support and access to networks and to help formulate their post-programme career plans throughout the last 18 months of the programme.
