A
Certificate in Care Practices, aimed at employers in the caring professions
striving to meet the new national standards, is just one of the products on
show at a new exhibition on work-based learning.
Partners
in Learning 2003 is the Association of Learning Providers’ first national
conference and is sponsored by the Learning and Skills Council. It will be held
at the Birmingham NEC on 14 and 15 May.
Exhibitors
include representatives from the Sector Skills Councils, colleges, and learning
providers specialising in NVQs and other work-based learning applications.
Visitors
will be able to access the latest information on a range of subjects, including
accredited qualifications, assessment, e-learning and NVQs.
New
products to be launched at the show include an internet-based business
management package for training providers from Hertfordshire-based Kbusiness,
while the awarding body Aset – providers of accreditation services for training
organisations and other professional bodies – will be demonstrating the
Certificate in Care Practices.

The
work-based learning team from Cambridge- based National Extension College will
promote its specialist distance learning courses. Other exhibitors include,
Learndirect, Education Development International, KnowledgePool and City &
Guilds.
