The
growth rate of average earnings in the UK has slowed due to a drop in the
number of bonuses in the economy as a whole.
New
figures from the Office for National Statistics show that average earnings grew
by 3.2 per cent in April, down from 3.4 per cent in March.
The
figures show that seasonally unadjusted pay growth, including bonuses, fell
from 4.7 per cent in March to 2.5 per cent in April.
Pay
growth excluding bonuses also experienced a decline, falling from 3.7 per cent
to 3.4 per cent during the same period.
