Company car managers are not geared up to take advantage of the Government’s “green” tax regime, claims new research.

The new tax regime, due to come into play in 2002, will be based on carbon dioxide emissions rather than mileage. The report found that only 10 per cent of companies have incorporated the legislation into their company car policy. Only 12 per cent of companies have bought cars with low carbon dioxide emissions in the past year.
The Gee Guide to Company Cars 200 surveyed finance directors, company secretaries, payroll managers, HR managers and fleet managers in more than 350 UK organisations.
