Businesses are increasingly looking at a company’s occupational health
record when it comes to buying their goods and services, a report has said.
The study by the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work has said
legislation and enforcement – the traditional ways of improving OH – were
increasingly giving way to other methods of promoting health and safety as
working practices changed.
Firms were putting greater emphasis on the health and safety capability of
their suppliers.
Many firms were using their OH reputation as a marketing tool, it added.
