An HR director is suing family-owned opticians GC Bateman for £250,000 for breach of contract after he lost his job.
Colin Frankin, who had worked for 10 years as personnel director at the firm, had his contract terminated in January.
In a writ issued in the High Court in London, he claimed he was entitled to two years’ notice, but instead only received three months between November and January this year.
GC Bateman owns a string of opticians branches across the south of England and goes back over 100 years.
