The flexible working practices being offered by IT employers are proving more attractive than salaries and bonuses in recruiting and retaining staff, claim consultancy NCC Group.
NCC has produced a top ten tips list for IT managers to keep staff, which includes not imposing out of hours work and incorporating worklife balance measures.
"Companies who can’t afford top salaries must look at other ways of keeping and attracting staff," said John Eary, head of NCC’s Skills Source Consultancy.
"IT staff are demanding a life outside of work. Organisations with effective work life balances polices based on best practice now have a clear advantage in attracting and retaining good staff."
