More
than half of those scanning job boards do not feel secure in their jobs,
according to a new study.
Only
15 per cent feel very secure, with 14 per cent saying they feel that redundancy
is imminent.
The
survey of 1,849 visitors to the Monster website shows:
•
39 per cent have a job, but don’t feel very secure
•
32 per cent are out of work at the moment
•
15 per cent feel very secure
•
14 per cent feel redundancy is imminent
A
similar UK survey conducted by Monster a year ago showed that the majority of
respondents were either out of work (38 per cent) or had a job, but were
uncertain about the future (29 per cent). The percentage of those feeling
secure was the same as this year’s poll.
