Kenexa (NASDAQ:KNXA), a global provider of business solutions for human resources, announced today that Norsk Hydro, a Norway-based global provider of aluminum with activities throughout the value chain, has selected Kenexa to implement their employee engagement survey. Chosen for their superior global expertise and research-based methodology, Kenexa’s employee engagement survey provides a single global measurement for engagement and building a high performance culture.
“Employee engagement has a strong influence on company success, and the level of service delivered to our customers,” said Lene Navestad, head of People Development at Norsk Hydro. “We expect the survey results to provide deep insight and – when combined with Kenexa’s unparalleled support and guidance – allow Hydro to act on the unique drivers of employee engagement for our multi-national culture, and support sustainable behaviour change within the organisation.”
Hydro Monitor, the company’s global employee engagement survey, is the company’s main method for understanding employee opinions and points of progress, as well as identifying areas for improvement. Hydro considers this survey their most valuable asset in evaluating current processes, and results will be used to support decisions for organisational development worldwide. With more than 23,000 employees operating in 40 different countries, the company partnered with Kenexa to handle data and reports for their complex global structure. Kenexa will administer the first engagement survey during the first quarter of 2012, with the option on two additional surveys to follow in 2014 and 2016.
Dr. Jack Wiley, Founder and Director of the Kenexa High Performance Institute, said, “Engagement is a key business driver that has been positively correlated both with employee and organisational performance. In our most recent research, using financial metrics such as Total Shareholder Return (TSR) and Diluted Earnings per Share (DEPS), we’ve found that organisations with higher levels of engagement outperform those with lower levels of engagement by a factor of five. Simply conducting the right kind of employee engagement survey, with a clear strategic intent, not only provides valuable feedback for future action planning, but can also contribute to higher engagement levels.”
