People
looking for work in London can now search for jobs via digital TV.
More
than 100,000 vacancies held on the Jobcentre Plus Job Bank for Central London
and a 15-mile radius of the city, can now be accessed on The Job Channel by
remote control.
A
pilot scheme will run until March 2005, and is part of the Government’s
commitment to giving jobseekers access to Jobcentre Plus vacancies via
interactive digital television (IDTV) by 2005.
IDTV
currently reaches more than 9.5 million homes, with an estimated 21 million
viewers.
