Improved
HR policies have led to a 93 per cent retention rate for full-time staff at the
Midlands Co-operative Society, according to its personnel division.
The
society attributes this loyality to improved selection and recruitment methods,
comprehensive induction programmes, improved training and development, flexible
working, and a benefits package that includes staff discounts, pension
membership and a generous holiday entitlement.
Of
those leaving, most were doing so due to relocation, illness, retirement, or
because they were taking up further education. Chief executive Willie Tucker
said: "This is great news and something that we are really proud of."
