Minimum wage up again as government gets economics right

The
National Minimum Wage is set to rise for the second time in six months with low
paid staff receiving an extra 10 pence per hour.

The
1.5 million workers receiving the wage will get the increase in October when
the minimum wage will rise to £4.20 an hour.

The
separate wage rate paid to staff aged between 18-21 will also see a 10p rise,
going up to £3.60 an hour.

The
rate was reviewed last October when the Government increased it by 40p and
promised the additional rise if the economic situation was right.
