Marks & Spencer managing director Roger Holmes is
expected to announce a shake-up of the company’s management structure that
could lead to redundancies today.
Holmes, who joined the company in January and has been reviewing
the structure of its retail arm.
He met with his UK retail management team to outline the
changes and address questions arising from them.
A spokesman said, “This review has validated the
structure, while also highlighting some areas of role overlap.
“By addressing these we will work better together in the
future and improve organisational effectiveness.
“The communication will cascade through the whole of UK
retail within the next 24 hours.”
