Workplace
pride is alive and thriving in the UK,
according to a new report published this week.
Research
from communications consultancy CHA paints a picture of a British workforce
that is proud of its work, its companies, and its contribution to their employers’
success.
The
report is based on a survey of more than 1,100 staff across the UK.
Half of them were either ‘very proud’ or ‘fairly proud’ of the organisation
they work for. Two-thirds also felt their firm had a good reputation in the
industry.
The
way that companies treat their staff was regarded as the most important factor
in building employee pride – cited by more than 60 per cent of respondents.
The
report, Workplace Pride 04, also
provides a ‘wish list’ of companies that employees would be most proud to work
for, with Virgin topping the poll.
