The
Navy is ready to offer ‘golden hellos’ of up to £50,000 in a bid to attract new
recruits, it has been reported.
The
move is being launched to help fill the UK’s undermanned submarines, which are
suffering from chronic skills shortages.
Newspaper
reports claim the Navy is suffering a shortfall of almost 40 per cent in some
areas, which is threatening to force parts of the fleet into port.
