The
NHS is setting up a new employers’ organisation as part of the Department of
Health’s (DoH) ongoing change management programme.
Some
of the DoH’s current HR staff will transfer to the new organisation, which is
being set up to be the authoritative voice of the NHS on HR and employment
issues.
The
new body, which will be run by the NHS Confederation, will draw together the
views of NHS employers and look at the best ways of implementing employment
policy frameworks.
It
will also support the delivery of the NHS Agenda for Change reforms and the new
consultants’ contracts.
