NHS staff in every trust and primary care trust in England are being asked for their opinions on their working lives in the second NHS staff survey.
The survey includes questions on work-life balance, team working, job satisfaction, training, management and supervision, violence and health and safety.
It hopes to gather information that will help to improve the working lives of those who provide care, and ensure better care for patients.
The research ends in December 2004, and trusts will receive a detailed report of the findings in February 2005.
