The
DTI and the Inland Revenue have launched a joint video to help ethnic
minorities understand their entitlement to fair pay under the National Minimum
Wage (NMW) laws.
The
video, which is narrated by comedian Nina Wadia, explains how workers who are
not receiving the minimum wage can obtain advice and assistance.
The
video is part of a strategy to raise awareness of fair pay among minority
workers and encourage those who are underpaid to come forward.
The
current minimum levels of pay set by the Government are £4.50 per hour or £3.80
per hour for workers aged between 18 and 21.
