Former HR director of Aramark, Sue Luford has left to set up her own
company. Complete People Management is a web-based company selling HR
procedures, forms, and letters, and is supported by a telephone advice service.
Margaret Burns and Hugh Robertson have been appointed to the Health and
Safety Commission. Following an open appointment exercise, Burns, teaching
fellow at the University of Aberdeen Law Faculty, has been reappointed as
commissioner, representing public interest concerns. Robertson, senior health
and safety officer at the TUC, is now commissioner representing employees’
concerns. Both posts have terms of office for three years.

Debbie Coulter has been re-elected deputy general secretary of the GMB
union. She said: "I am delighted with this result, which is an
unmistakable and clear endorsement of the new GMB leadership. My priorities in
office are unchanged – to work with the general secretary, Kevin Curran, to
deliver for GMB members at work, and to ensure their union is a dynamic,
vibrant and growing one."
Andrew Galer has moved to the human capital arm of PIFC Consulting as an HR
consultant. He was formerly an HR manager at NEC (UK), the telecoms and
technology company.
