Nursery and daycare provider, the Childcare Corporation, has announced the
appointment of Sarah Beal as HR manager. As a highly-experienced HR generalist,
Beal has a proven track record performing a variety of functions encompassed
within HR. She joins the Childcare Corporation after five years’ previous
experience in the personnel department of a large European retail company.

Rachael Hanley-Browne, previously marketing director of consultancy Interim
Performers, has launched a new business – Engagepeople. It offers a holistic
approach to the staff engagement process, from recruitment to gaining employee
loyalty and retaining key talent. She said: "Our team combines marketing
and HR expertise to create strategies that reflect companies’ business values
internally, so that employees deliver on brand promises in all their workplace
activities and behaviours."
Binna Kandola, an occupational psychologist and diversity specialist, has
been appointed as a member of the Department for Work and Pensions National
Employment Panel (NEP) and chair of its subgroup, the Minority Ethnic Group. As
successor to the New Deal Taskforce, the NEP provides independent advice to the
Government on the design, delivery and performance of its labour market
policies.
