Web-based people and knowledge management software company Meta4 has announced it is acquiring Cyborg Systems, the UK-based HR and payroll company.
Through the terms of the acquisition, Cyborg UK’s management team is subject to three-year contracts with Meta4.
Cyborg UK employs 150 people in its offices in England and Scotland. It offers HR and payroll products to a customers in sectors such as retail, transportation and government.
Meta4 provides Web-based software for the management of people and the exchange and management of knowledge across corporate intranets and the Internet.

Meanwhile, IT company Northgate Information Solutions – formerly known as MDIS – has acquired HR and payroll specialist Harvest. Company sources claim the move will allow Northgate to expand its customer base, which stands at about 2,500 clients.
Harvest provides HR services and business process outsourcing for payroll and personnel across all market sectors and its customers include government departments such as the Inland Revenue and the DSS, and health authorities.
