Police worker in serious but stable condition after being shot during firearm awareness training exercise

A police worker is in a serious but stable condition after being shot during a training exercise yesterday.

The unnamed support staff member was injured during a Thames Valley Police firearms awareness training session at Kidlington in Oxfordshire.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) confirmed it will investigate the incident. The IPPC investigates any police incidents involving the discharge of a firearm as a matter of course.
