The
public sector has lower staff turnover than the retail and manufacturing
sectors, according to a survey by the CIPD.
The
public sector’s average staff turnover stands at just below 15 per cent,
compared to 33 per cent for the wholesale and retail industry and almost 16 per
cent for manufacturing.
Sales
staff across all sectors have the highest staff turnover, averaging almost 25
per cent.
Sales
staff in the wholesale and retail trade are the individual group with the
highest staff turnover rate at almost 45 per cent.
The
lowest individual staff group turnover rate stands at under 6 per cent among
public sector craft and skilled staff.
A
