Rail staff set for 48-hour strike

Rail,
Maritime and Transport Union staff with Arriva Trains Northern are to go on a
48-hour strike from tomorrow, website Ananova reports.

The
website said 300 station and retail staff are to strike and the stoppage will
coincide with a 24-hour strike by 670 conductors starting on Thursday.

The
RMT said services throughout the north of England would be severely disrupted
by the strikes with no services at all on some routes and much reduced services
on others.
