Revenge is sweet for sacked staff

Staff
who feel they have been unfairly sacked would take revenge on their employers
if given the chance.

A
poll by business security firm Novell of 1,000 staff found that eight out of 10
respondants would try to damage their firm’s reputation or finances if they
felt they had been unfairly dismissed.

Half
said they would steal information from the company’s database and continue to
use job perks such as a mobile phone, gym membership or laptop until they were
cancelled.

Forty
per cent would poach clients, a third would badmouth the company and one in 10
would sign their boss up to an X-rated e-mail list.
