communications firm Inmarsat is sponsoring the World Rally Championship (WRC),
to help motivate its staff and showcase its latest high-tech products.
firm was concerned that staff developing its products never got to see them in
the marketplace, because they are mainly used for shipping navigation and
the WRC, which organises motor races in 14 countries, will be using real-time
satellite technology and other products so staff can see them in action.
at the Inmarsat come from 55 countries, but are rarely together in one place,
so the races will enable them to network and meet up more frequently.
