Workers
at the Sellafield atomic energy complex in Cumbria have been suspended for
sending and opening obscene e-mails.
Nigel
Monckton, a spokesman for British Nuclear Fuels, said the three staff and six
contract workers had been suspended and an inquiry into the incident was
ongoing.
“We
are continuing an investigation. I expect out employees will be taken through
the disciplinary process,” said Monckton.
“We
make it very clear in our policy document that the internal e-mail system is
for business use only.”
