A
national service that matches MBA students to business projects across the UK
was launched today.
The
"mbamanagement" service allows MBA students to browse hundreds of
businesses at a new website rather than being restricted to the 20 or so
companies with which their schools have relationships.
More
than 2,000 MBA students are completing assignments, studying for exams and
organising 8-12 week work experience projects over the summer.
Ben
Townsend, mbamangement director of communications said, “The repeated process
of finding a company, approaching the right person, forwarding a cv and then
sitting through selection procedures inevitably takes its toll on time and
motivation.”
Mbamanagement
is being rolled out in conjunction with the Association of MBAs, and will be
piloted across ten of the association’s schools over the coming months.
Participating
colleges include Ashridge Management College, Lancaster University Management
School and Strathclyde Business School.
