Recruitment difficulties are expected to be less of a problem in the
services sector compared to the manufacturing industry, according to research.
Findings from the quarterly Recruitment Confidence Index (RCI), developed by
Cranfield School of Management and the Daily Telegraph in association with
Personnel Today, show that recruitment difficulties in the manufacturing sector
have increased to 78 per cent compared with autumn 2003’s figure of 71 per
cent. But it also shows that problems have been reduced in the services sector,
from 83 per cent to 76 per cent.
