Shaun O’Keeffe has been recruited to the marketing team at Jelf Employee Benefits. His role will be to support the business with marketing and commercial development; and in particular with its mission to provide a practical HR knowledge centre. The resource, launched at the beginning of 2011, aims to give anyone who works within an HR and benefits function, the ability to keep abreast of the issues that really matter.
O’Keeffe, Marketing & Commercial Assistant, will report directly in to Jason Rayner, Commercial Manager, and will be responsible for developing and delivering Jelf Employee Benefits’ HR communications program across media such as technical bulletins, blogs, e-mail, online social/business networking, newsletters and seminars.
Rayner said: “We have already had a lot of positive feedback on the enhancements to our website, online knowledge centre and seminar programme, which indicates it can be an essential resource for HR teams. Shaun’s appointment is part of our commitment to constantly improve our communication to our market. We want to deliver that information in many different ways to appeal to different types of people and organisations. So now with a blog, Facebook page, LinkedIn and our usual technical bulletins and newsletters, employers can receive whichever information they choose in whatever format suits them best.”
Jelf Employee Benefits believes that a lot of HR issues are spearheaded by larger organisations with ample resources to campaign or lobby for changes, and the SME market – which in practice is a bigger market – can be overlooked. Jelf Employee Benefits is aiming to deliver updates and news about the subjects which are relevant to this market, underpinned by its understanding and appreciation of how smaller- to medium-sized businesses need to address the hot topics and issues of the day.
