UK
easyJet cabin crew and baggage handlers are to be represented by the Transport
and General Workers’ Union.
In a
recent ballot the staff overwhelmingly voted for the union.
Bill
Morris, T&G general secretary said: "This is a tremendous result which
will be of benefit to staff and company alike.
"We
are determined that the agreement should herald a new phase in the development
of easyJet and its workforce."
The
agreement covers around 600 staff at Luton, Liverpool, Manchester, Gatwick,
Edinburgh and Glasgow.
