Derbyshire Building Society aims to prove that ‘an army marches on its
stomach’ after investing £120,000 in a restaurant called Blue.
Fiona Passey, director of people and culture at the Society, said the new
restaurant for the 280 staff at its headquarters in Duffield, Derbyshire would
encourage people to make the most of their lunch breaks.

The restaurant is in a converted stable block and staff can order their food
in the morning on the company’s intranet to take away or eat in at lunchtime.
"We are encouraging people to take a genuine lunch break so they can
return to their desks feeling refreshed," Passey said. "Helping
people feel good and eat well are vital to a happy workforce."
