A former Yorkshire Businesswoman of the Year, Haigh is well equipped to write this book, which she has subtitled A survival guide for women in business. She has called on a wide range of contributors, from sports presenter Clare Balding to private bank Coutts & Co’s chief executive Justine Dignam, and reading the result is like listening to a bunch of career women offering advice.

It is full of practical advice without being patronising, and the chapter on networking is excellent – not many business books give women advice on attending football matches or horse races.

Personnel Today

Personnel Today articles are written by an expert team of award-winning journalists who have been covering HR and L&D for many years. Some of our content is attributed to "Personnel Today" for a number of reasons, including: when numerous authors are associated with writing or editing a piece; or when the author is unknown (particularly for older articles).
