Bosses will be accused of paying lip service to the idea of working in partnership with their staff in a survey to be published in the New Year.
There is widespread opposition to the idea of involving workers in the running of a business, according to the report conducted by Leeds University and the Manufacturing Science and Finance union.
The report describes staff involvement in company decision-making as “negligible” and finds job security has reduced significantly.
