The fact that the opening chapter includes ‘Ten faults audiences hate most’ was for me the literary equivalent of ‘You had me at hello’. The layout isn’t the best, but the content is well labelled and easily navigated. I particularly liked the key messages at the end of each chapter, and the acknowledge­ment that not all presenters have the same level of experience – see the ‘When you’re fairly new to presenting’ section. A useful tool.
