Tesco
is keeping hold of more than 3,000 temporary staff that it recruited to work
over the Christmas period.
The
supermarket hired about 12,000 temporary staff over the festive period and has
decided to make 3,000 of them permanent.
Tesco
is also looking to recruit another 3,000 temps to work in stores over Easter –
the second busiest time of the year for the grocery chain.
Tesco
retail director David Potts said the group was recruiting more staff because it
wanted to make sure customers enjoyed the best possible service.
