Traffic wardens to strike next Wednesday

Around
10,000 traffic wardens are strike next week during council workers’ industrial
action.

The
Transport and General Workers Union said most wardens are expected to strike on
Wednesday, alongside around 1.3 million council workers’ demanding a 6 per cent
pay increase for staff.

The
Automobile Association says industrial action could lead to ‘chaos’ on the
roads.

An
AA spokesperson said it is worried people may park illegally all over the place
and traffic will grind to a halt.
