Thousands
of London Underground workers are to be balloted on industrial action after
talks over a safety dispute ended without agreement.
Aslef
and the Rail Maritime and Transport Union met Tube bosses to voice concerns
over preparations for the Public Private Partnership (PPP), which union
officials fear will jeopardise safety.
The
results of the industrial action ballots are expected next month. Industrial
action could include strikes.
