TUC to champion firefighters pay bid

The
TUC is backing the Fire Brigades Union’s bid to increase firefighters pay.

The
TUC has urged employers to re-enter pay negotiations after being briefed by the
FBU.

The
firefighters union claims it wants to avoid industrial action, but is prepared
to strike if necessary.
