UK
industry leaders are going off the idea of joining the Euro, according to
research.
An
annual Mori poll shows that less than 50 per cent of respondents backed a move
into the European currency, compared to 70 per cent five years ago.
The
research – which questioned chairmen, chief executives and board directors –
also found that most industry captains backed proposed reforms to corporate
governance, with 70 per cent supporting the recommendations of the Higgs
Report.
