The
Union Learning Fund, which helps trade union members access training and
learning opportunities in the workplace, is to receive a further £34m of
government funding over the next three years.
Now
in its fifth year, the Union Learning Fund has supported over 350 projects from
more than 50 unions, encouraging learning at work.
The
extra funding will help trade unions give members more access to quality
learning and training opportunities.
Groups
currently benefiting include teachers in need of IT training, ethnic minority
workers in Leeds getting help with English and IT, and workers in the home
shopping sector.
